Black Owned Chicago recently released our first short documentary “Farewell Obama” and everything about the event was intentional. We chose The Harper Theater, because of its location: Hyde Park a.k.a. Home of Obama. The screening was January 19, 2017, because that was President Obama’s last day of his presidency. Tickets sold out in 2 days. Check out some pictures from that special evening. (Photo credit: Mamadou Sewa Bah)
A huge thanks to everyone who attended. A special thanks to CBS and SouthSide Weekly who featured our story. For more screening dates for “Farewell Obama” please email info@blackownedchicago.com
