Give Me Some Sugah is based on a warm memory. Although we have a tendency to glorify the “good old days”, there was certainly something special about coming home from school and smelling cookies in the oven and the pot on the stove. There was something special about living in a neighborhood that boasted three bakeries, two movie theaters and a host of other amenities.
My goal is to bring back some memories and create a few new ones. We bake from scratch. The batches are small so although there is not a lot of anything there is a pretty good variety of items from which to choose. We believe that real butter, real sugar and real eggs make phenomenal baked goods. Although we can not produce the perfect shaped cookie all the time, the flavors are rich, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Come by for a visit and if you have an old recipe that brings back good memories for you, bring it with and I will whip up a batch for you.
